Hj with an I says: (AM 01:33:42)
haha, yeah
AЯTHUR says: (AM 01:34:06)
i wonder how come there are big fans of project runway here in sg, but no one has heard of top chef
AЯTHUR says: (AM 01:34:23)
and sg is more 'forward' in the food scene than in fashion lor
AЯTHUR says: (AM 01:34:50)
you wld think sg audiences wld prefer a show like top chef to proj runway
AЯTHUR says: (AM 01:35:18)
and the worst thing is, top chef actually came all the way over to showcase sg in their finale?
Hj with an I says: (AM 01:35:26)
haha
AЯTHUR says: (AM 01:35:31)
and there's not even a shoutout to anyone remotely sgrean in proj runway

I really do think Top Chef seriously needs to gain more attention from audiences in Singapore. Anyway, I wasn't trying to imply that Project Runway is inferior to Top Chef in that conversation -- They are both avant-garde, educational and highly-entertaining reality competition shows (by the talented people at Magical Elves). (But then again, Top Chef was the one who broke Amazing Race's streak at the Emmys for Best Reality Competition Program.)

It's just that, it's really puzzling to me why Top Chef doesn't share the same popularity status as Project Runway here in Singapore. It's a shame Channel 5 is currently still at Season 2 (Top Chef's recently ended it's 7th Season; there are already 2 successful seasons of a spinoff, Top Chef Masters; and it's currently airing a second spinoff, Top Chef: Just Desserts.), and airing it at some weird timeslot like 4pm or 12midnight.

SAD!
